The Mosquito

The windows were closed,
but there's the mosquito
on the bathroom wall

That's now on the bedroom floor -
chased here from downstairs
by the cat.

The cat didn't see, until
I tilted its head up to the wall -
look, I said, it's yours.

And so it was. So it was.
