Two Stones

A table,
two chairs -
winter sat there.

Icicles hung from every word
as eyes filmed over
like fishes frozen in the snow.

Like two stones waiting
for the thaw -
and the sinking.

Wow, this it is just ladan with tension.

I loved the line 'winter sat there'and the imagery of 'eyes filmed over like fishes frozen in the snow'.

An excellent piece, stark and so full of atmosphere, you could cut it with a knife!

Nice writing!
